Pharmacy technicians at Empower Pharmacy are vital to our operations. Depending on your role, you may be responsible for entering orders and reviewing patient profiles, assisting customers with inquiries, or filling and dispensing medications, as well as ensuring our pharmacy remains compliant with state and federal regulations. Successful pharmacy technician applicants should have at least one year of experience in a healthcare-related field. Preferably, applicants should also have some knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice governing pharmacy operations and patient care. A college education is generally preferred, but not required. For requirements specific to each pharmacy technician role, see our current list of openings.

While many pharmacy technicians can be trained on the job, some states do require that you have a technician license before you begin training. All pharmacy technicians must have a high school diploma or GED, and a college education is preferred.
